PSYCHOLOGICAL CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF COMMUNICATION DISORDERS IN ADOLESCENTS

Khovrina G.B.

PSYCHOLOGICAL CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF COMMUNICATION DISORDERS IN ADOLESCENTS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problems of school bullying, violations in the sphere of communication between adolescents and adults and peers. The problem of school bullying has been widely discussed in the media for the past 30 years. Violations in the sphere of communication between adolescents and their peers manifest themselves in various forms of bullying, humiliation, and physical violence. Almost every student has experience of bullying as a victim, observer or aggressor. Parents and the victims of bullying consider changing educational institutions as the only way to prevent bullying. But the experiences associated with living through a traumatic event are transferred to a new situation. The results of the research show that a traumatized teenager is afraid to build relationships, afraid of a repeat bullying. It was also found that the higher the proportion of students with bullying experience, the higher the rates of disunity in the group. In this case, disunity is a means of protecting oneself, one’s personal space, and a tool to prevent bullying. The article presents an analysis of teenagers’ knowledge about bullying, its forms of manifestation and ways to overcome it. According to the survey, teenagers see the solution to the problem in organizing meaningful joint activities in an educational organization.

Keywords: teenager, communication, school bullying, psychological trauma, prevention.

THE ARAB-ISRAELI CONFLICT IN THE MIRROR OF A GERMAN-LANGUAGE CARTOON

Kokurina I.V., Opolovnikova M.V.

THE ARAB-ISRAELI CONFLICT IN THE MIRROR OF A GERMAN-LANGUAGE CARTOON

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of German-language cartoons illustrating various aspects of the socio-political crisis in the Middle East. It is noted that based on the political cartoon, it is possible to trace the current mood of the German population regarding the military confrontation in the Gaza Strip: fear, a pessimistic vision of the situation, condemnation of the actions of politicians. It is emphasized that the linguistic, cultural, social and socio-political conditions in which the author of the cartoon finds himself form the perspective from which the military conflict in the Middle East is illustrated, as well as determine the choice of objects of satire and the palette of expressive means used. The authors conclude that among the linguistic means used by the cartoonists to build the necessary axiological vector, the most popular is a word play based on transformations of phraseological units, use of homophones, phonetic similarity, polysemy and homonymy. In addition, semiotically heterogeneous texts are saturated with allusions and precedent phenomena that actualize various cultural codes, referring, on the one hand, to art, literature, mythology, folklore, on the other hand, to historical events and politics. It is noted that images referring to precedent phenomena from the sphere of culture have a predicative function and serve the purposes of characterization.

TRANSLATION OF A COMPOUND SENTENCE WITH A TEMPORAL SUBORDINATE CLAUSE FROM RUSSIAN TO CHINESE: PSYCHOLINGUISTIC ASPECT

Abstract. The article is devoted to the substantiation of the process of translation of compound sentence with a temporal subordinate clause from Russian to Chinese on the basis of the case method. The article analyzes audio reports and files obtained by the authors using the experimental method of “thinking aloud”. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the study of the process of translation of this type of sentences from Russian into Chinese, while previously the main attention was paid to language pairs including English. The authors focus their attention on the compound sentence with a temporal subordinate clause, the translation process of which is less studied in comparison with other types of compound sentences. As a result of the study, a model for the translation of a compound sentence with a temporal subordinate clause from Russian to Chinese is proposed. It is shown that the translation is a complex mental process of “multiple reflection” and “constant revision” rather than a simplified “flow-line” practice.

NATIONALLY DETERMINED SPECIFICITY OF THE GASTIC COMPONENT OF NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION IN FRENCH FICTION

Mikhaylova S.V.

NATIONALLY DETERMINED SPECIFICITY OF THE GASTIC COMPONENT OF NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION IN FRENCH FICTION

Abstract. This article analyses the gastic component of non-verbal communication in the works of French authors, focusing on how nationally determined characteristics influence the perception of unique cultural and historical aspects of French society. Studying these aspects through literary works allows not only a deeper understanding of characters and their interactions, but also reveals broader trends in the communicative code of the French cultural space due to the rich gastronomic traditions of France, the diversity of social practices (especially those related to food traditions), to consider, using examples, how non-verbal means of communication are shaped by historical context and cultural characteristics. Examination of examples from authentic literature will illustrate the evolution of non-verbal cues and their importance in understanding human relationships in French society.

Keywords: gastica, ethnospecificity of non-verbal communication, French fiction, gustatives, gluttonic discourse, gastrolinguocultural units.

REAL VS. VIRTUAL: VIEWED BY HUMAN AND ARTIFICIAL MINDS

Abstract. The article focuses on the definitions of real and virtual entities taken from Dictionaries of the Russian National Literary Language as well as their understanding reflected in the questionnaires filled by the native speakers of the Russian language and the Artificial intelligence generated in https://gpt-chatbot.ru/. 45 students of linguistics, who filled the questionnaire, aged 18 – 23 years old obtain their education at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Area Studies, Moscow Lomonosov State University. The article contains common and divergent features of information reflected on real and virtual worlds. The informants’ answers reveal the conspicuous variety, whereas the Artificial intelligence transfers the coaches’ point of view, which in general correlates with the Internet data. In general, the answers obtained correspond with the semantics of ‘real’ and ‘virtual’ as presented in the Dictionaries of the Russian Language. The research pinpoints the necessity of treating ‘possible’ while dealing with ‘real’ and ‘virtual’, where ‘possible’ presents itself as ‘a realized possibility’ in the first case, whist in the second case – as ‘a not realized possibility’, though retained this potency. The informants’ as well as the Artificial intelligence’s answers reveal a specific zone in between ‘real’ and ‘virual’. The above zone hosts computer games, computer programs, etc. connected with the real activity of humans as well as their involvement in the framework of the virtual world.

Keywords: Real; virtual; informants’ questionnaire; artificial intelligence; semantics.

INTERDISCIPLINARYY NATURE AND POLYVECTOR CHARACTER OF SCIENTIFIC REFLEXION ON COACHING

Vashunina I.V., Ryabova M.E.

INTERDISCIPLINARYY NATURE AND POLYVECTOR CHARACTER OF SCIENTIFIC REFLEXION ON COACHING

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of semantic perception of a creolized text. One of the characteristics of any text is its actual division, which is realized in the allocation of the topic and the rheme of the sentence. The actual division of the text can be considered as a way of moving from one thought to another within the framework of a broader textual structure. There are studies of models of thematic chains. The creolization of the text introduces interference and distortion into the unfolding of these models, which is explained by the addition of illustration information to the process of semantic perception of the text. Being visualized in the illustration, part of the information of the verbal text becomes known to the reader before reading the text, therefore, some of the rhematic elements become thematic for the reader due to the representation in the illustration perceived before reading the verbal text. When reading the text, the reader does not discover them for himself, but recognizes, re-perceives verbally what he has already perceived visually. In this case, when reading a creolized text, the reader “discovers” less new things for himself than when reading a purely verbal text, which can have a positive effect on the amount of information he learns, since having received part of the basic information from the image (objects, environment, actions), the reader can pay more attention to the peripheral.

Keywords: creolized text, actual division of the text, theme-rhematic organization, semantic perception of the text, cognitive variability

DIGITAL ALIENATION OF PERSONALITY IN THE ERA OF INFORMATIZATION

M. Kitaeva

DIGITAL ALIENATION OF PERSONALITY IN THE ERA OF INFORMATIZATION

Annotation. One of the key problems of modern man is the problem of digital alienation. Digital alienation arises in an industrial society, the main characteristic of which is the interchangeability of its members, in a digital, media society in which information technologies form a new value-semantic field of interactions of communication participants among themselves. The digital society forms two new classes in the field of work that have similarities and differences: the precariat and freelancers. The precariat, as a rule, is regarded as a class that exhibits digital alienation – alienated from itself, its values and needs, alienated from other people, from society as a whole, being the subject of difficult communication. Successful freelancers are regarded as high-level professionals who have overcome digital alienation, difficult communication, highly personally and communicatively competent. It is suggested that the possibility of overcoming digital alienation is associated with the emergence in modern society of a new approach to education and self-education – an integral approach. The integral approach is implemented as learning and self-learning throughout life and manifests itself in a number of aspects: spatial, communicative, personal, ideological, ontological. Integral self-education is implemented through coaching and self-coaching training. The forms of coaching and self-coaching are considered as ways of introducing the approach of integral education into the sphere of social interaction of a modern person, as well as the possibilities and features of their application to overcome digital alienation.

LINGUISTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF SPEECH BEHAVIOR OF MODERN GERMAN- AND RUSSIAN-SPEAKING CHILDREN OF SENIOR PRESCHOOL AGE

M. Ksenz, O. Lomova

LINGUISTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF SPEECH BEHAVIOR OF MODERN GERMAN- AND RUSSIAN-SPEAKING CHILDREN OF SENIOR PRESCHOOL AGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of linguistic features of speech behavior of German- and Russian-speaking children of senior preschool age (5-7 years), given a specific situation of speech communication. The nature of speech behavior determined the research material ‒ episodes from the television programs «Dingsda: Müller», «Dingsda», «Out of the mouth of babes», videos of a similar format («Children try to guess things from the USSR», «Old things and modern children»). Children’s speech is studied and compared in the following aspects: vocabulary, word formation, grammar and phonetic features of speech peculiar to this age group. Similarities were revealed mainly at the phonetic level, differences – in word formation and grammar. Similarities in the field of phonetics are explained by universal processes characteristic of many languages, for example, the order of assimilation of consonants. The lexical features of children’s speech include the use of nominations of typical phenomena, explained both by the influence of society (mass culture, modern realities), and the age stage (evaluative vocabulary) and a specific speech situation (words expressing doubt and uncertainty). Differences were found in the processes of word formation; for example, for a German–speaking child, word formation by word composition became the most productive way, and for a Russian-speaking child, the suffix method, which was reflected in the more frequent use of diminutives by Russian-speaking children. The differences in grammar are explained by the types of languages that German and Russian belong to. Analytical German pays great attention to the order of words in a sentence, and for synthetic Russian, the relations between words are expressed through word- and formative morphemes.

Keywords: children’s speech, ontolinguistics (linguistics of children’s speech), psycholinguistics, speech behavior, age features of speech, speech of an older preschooler.

ADOLESCENT’S COPING-STRATEGIES VERBALIZATION IN RESPOND TO PARENT’S DESTRUCTIVE SPEECH BEHAVIOR (EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH)2

Abstract. The paper describes a research aiming at correlating the adolescent’s speech behavior in response to the parent’s destructive speech behavior with the description of coping-strategies conceptualized in the psychological literature. The research design includes an experimental procedure similar to a projective test, which is preceded by a lexico-semantic analysis of coping-strategies’ descriptors. The research involved 53 people (29 females and 24 males) aged 18-37, students of humanitarian universities and / or working in humanitarian specialties. The subjects were asked to imagine themselves in the social role of a child in five model situations and to record in writing their verbal reaction (in the form of direct speech) in response to the verbal behavior of the parent / parents in each of the proposed situations. As a result of the analysis of the child’s speech behavior, it was revealed that the variables “the situation of interaction between the child and the parent” and “the biological age of the child” influence the child’s preferences when verbalizing coping-strategies, while the variable “the biological sex of the child” affects the choice of coping-strategies only in combination with other variables. In response to the parent’s destructive verbal behavior in model situations, the child’s verbal behavior is dominated by the verbalization of such coping-strategies as “search for social support”, “problem solving planning”, “confrontation” and “acceptance of responsibility”. It was revealed that in situations with greater autonomy of the child, the verbalization of the coping-strategy “problem solving planning” is more pronounced, in situations with less autonomy of the child, the verbalization of the coping-strategy “confrontation” is more pronounced.

Keywords: coping-strategies, coping behavior, speech behavior, parent-child relationship, biological sex.

MANIFESTATION OF THE PHENOMENON OF GOSSIP AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE

Abstract. The features of the phenomenon of gossip in the youth environment are discussed. Based on the developed questionnaire on the attitude to gossip and the data obtained from the study, it is emphasized that every young person in his life regularly meets with gossip that is associated with unreliable information. The arguments are described that young people often gossip about the peculiarities of interpersonal relationships, successes in the professional sphere and other significant aspects of life. Attention is focused on the fact that youth gossip is used for a pleasant pastime, can be deliberately dissolved to exert pressure, manipulate the behavior of other people and rally within the team. The negative information disseminated can become a component of bullying and mobbing. It is argued that gossip in most cases negatively affects relationships, is the cause of adverse emotional experiences, personal dramas. Most of the young people noted that they prefer to talk to distributors and even crack down or take revenge as a response to the spread of gossip about themselves. Few can ignore or ignore the information. The need to increase the ability of young people to constructively counteract the negative influence of gossip is emphasized.

Key words: gossip, youth relationships, false information, negative impact.

COGNITIVE TENSION POINTS IN THE RECEPTION OF A POETIC TEXT

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of literary text reception by the primary and secondary linguistic personalities. The study describes the localization of cognitive tension points in the reception of a translated poetic text by the primary and secondary linguistic personalities, and their comprehension is made. The types of localizations and the principles of scaling the points of cognitive tension in the reception of translated poetic text by primary and secondary linguistic personalities are disclosed. The research results show the following conclusions: the high degree of reception identity, and consequently the localization of cognitive tension points at the lexical and grammatical levels testify to the similarity in the systemic organization of the target language in the reception of native and non-native speakers. The low degree of identity in the reception of rhythmic and rhyme-poetic organisation of translated poetic texts indicates the lack of identical and formed systemic representations of cognitive expectations in the reception of a poetic work. At this point it seems possible to assume that the study of systemic perceptions of the reception of a fiction text by primary and secondary linguists through the prism of experimental identification of points of cognitive tension will contribute to the formation of objective criteria to assess the quality of translation.

Key words: reception, points of cognitive tension, linguistic personality, literary translation, poetic text.

DIACHRONIC TRANSFORMATION OF THE SEMANTIC STRUCTURE OF CONCEPTS IN RUSSIAN LINGUOCULTURE

Yu. Pogrebnyak, A. Bodrikov

DIACHRONIC TRANSFORMATION OF THE SEMANTIC STRUCTURE OF CONCEPTS IN RUSSIAN LINGUOCULTURE

Annotation. In modern Russian linguoculture, some traditionally distinguished concepts have developed new semantic characteristics, pushing the traditionally distinguished semantic features into the background. Meanings that are significant in the conditions of modern life and reflect the trends of modern culture come to the fore. The analysis of Internet statuses has shown that the transformation of the semantic structure of concepts in modern linguoculture is in accordance with the trends of modern culture. The change in the structure of concepts is influenced by the ideas of postmodernism. The characteristics of postmodernism “seep” into the structure of the concept, such as, for example, the devaluation of values and norms; artificiality, anti-hierarchical (chaotic), superficiality and lack of deep meaning; excess copying (plagiarism, unoriginality); pluralism of opinions, attitudes, etc.; uncertainty in everything; eclecticism; multiple interpretations (multiple interpretations); kitsch, shocking; irony (cynicism, ridicule); parody; marginality; fragmentation (attention to details, lack of synthesis, collapse of meta-projects); denial of “old knowledge” and lack of new knowledge; formation of virtual reality, life among simulacra; “death” of the author (creativity as a citation and replica of an existing one).

The considered features of postmodernism are present in the structure of the concepts considered by us, changing the semantics of the latter in accordance with the requirements of modernity. Basically, the value component of the concept undergoes transformation. Modern Russian people are mainly interested not in the conceptual, or even figurative aspect of phenomena and objects, but in their assessment, their value for society. And this is natural, since modern culture allows for a multiplicity of interpretations of phenomena and meanings.

MANIPULATIVE POTENTIAL OF EUPHEMISMS AND DYSPHEMISMS IN POLITICAL TEXTS OF THE CONTEMPORARY RUSSIAN MEDIA

Abstract. The given paper is focused on the linguistic analysis of the present-day Russian media texts that realize their manipulative potential using a wide array of methods and techniques. We have managed to prove that one of the most popular means of influencing the recipient is euphemization and dysphemization of events and phenomena described by journalists. Depending on the author’s intention, the replacement of words is carried out to shift the emphasis from something negative to neutral and vice versa. At the same time, this technique allows the journalists to distort information and tell a lie without being caught by hiding the true meaning of the word / expression. Along with specifying the priority topics that are subject to euphemization and dysphemization, we have also revealed the dependence of the use of these tropes on the media political orientation.

UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD BY MEANS OF CARTOONS IN MODERN MEDIA SPACE

Abstract. The topic of this study is inspired by my own personal skill in drawing cartoons, my professional experience as a cartoonist and journalist, and a profound long-term interest in exploring the communication capabilities of cartooning. In a nutshell, this article looks at how cartoons evolved as a Western branch of fine art from the stage of an artistic endeavor to achieve a deeper visual language to the deployment of cartoon capabilities with the goal of “public awareness” and as a means of visual protest during the Protestant Reformation in the early sixteenth century. From the Renaissance to the creation of the printing press, this evolution entered a new phase, focusing on the characteristics of political action. Stemming from the point that the main place and prosperous point of cartoons is in the

press, the roles and functions of editorial cartoons have been analyzed. The objective is to come up with a suitable response to the topic of why cartoons are such excellent communication vehicles. This paper tries to explain how cartoonists, as excellent communicators, continually use written and visual means among the four basic modes of communication: verbal, nonverbal, written, and visual. Following that, it will be explained how cartoons will work very efficiently when you need to convey complicated and sensitive messages or need the participation of people. According to the findings of this study, cartoons are the outcome of human beings’ careful observation, which broadens our awareness of current human beings’ predicament in the new media landscape.

MANAGING THE PERCEPTION OF VERBAL MESSAGE AGGRESSIVENESS

I. Vashunina

MANAGING THE PERCEPTION OF VERBAL MESSAGE AGGRESSIVENESS

Abstract. This article presents a generalization and interpretation of experimental studies of the perception of aggressiveness of the text, conducted using the scaling method and the semantic differential method. It is established that the directed creolization of the text, which consists in adding an illustration to the verbal text with an effective potential in the aspect of aggressiveness, can affect the perception of aggressiveness of a speech message. To correct the perception of aggressiveness, both the content and the form of the illustration can be used. The image of an attack, threat of attack, dangerous and incomprehensible, potentially threatening objects increases the assessment of the aggressiveness of the text. A visual correlation of the aggressive quality was found in the form of a potentially dangerous object moving towards the viewer. It is possible to change the perception of aggressiveness by adjusting ratings on the meaningfully close scales dangerous, unfriendly, malicious, hostile, threatening, provocative, as well as on scales that showed correlation with the aggressive scale in factor structures (positive correlation with the scales hard, cold, complex, negative correlation with the scales calm, easy). Analysis of the experimental results shows that the degree of influence of directed creolization on the perception of aggressiveness of a speech message depends on the proximity of the message content to recipients: texts on topics close to recipients are subject to perception correction weaker than texts on topics far from the interests of recipients.

STRUCTURAL DETERMINANTS OF IDEOLOGICAL DISCOURSE IN THE CHINESE LINGUISTIC CULTURE

STRUCTURAL DETERMINANTS OF IDEOLOGICAL DISCOURSE IN THE CHINESE LINGUISTIC CULTURE

Abstract. In this publication, we will consider the problem of typological description of the structural and functional features of Chinese ideological discourse in the light of modern linguistic theories in the context of the influence of information and psychological warfare factors on modern Chinese society. The study will determine the communicative parameters of constructing a macrostructural model of ideological discourse, presented as a system of derivatives from the binary pair “topic and comment”, taking into account the totality of ethnic, psychological and socio-cultural characteristics that determine the typical features of the speech behavior of representatives of Chinese linguistic culture in the modern era. In the cognitive aspect, the macrostructure of ideological discourse is presented by us in the form of an interconnected system of reference frames and a set of associative conceptual fields, which are actualized in the deictic boundaries of the interdiscursive environment through ideologically labeled units of language. The conclusions obtained indicate that the system-forming role in the communicative dynamics of the deployment of verbal forms of representation of frame structures of consciousness can be reflected in the ethnic and cognitive model of the system of positions derived from the predicative pair “topic-comment”, and the ethno-cultural specificity of the extrapolation of ideology in China is expressed in the choice of linguistic means and communicative strategies of influence, illustrating the relevance of semantic, functional and pragmatic characteristics of ideologized discourses to the basic topic., playing the role of a propositional core in the processes of interdiscursive deployment of a communicative plan.

SEMANTIC FIELD “FAMILY” AS A WAY OF ORGANIZING THE LANGUAGE EXPERIENCE (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE)

N. Druzhina

SEMANTIC FIELD “FAMILY” AS A WAY OF ORGANIZING THE LANGUAGE EXPERIENCE (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE)

The article presents the results of using the field reconstruction method to describe the value of “family” (based on the material of the German periodical press). The modern specificity of the semantic field “family” determines the peculiarities of the way of organizing the linguistic experience of representatives of the German linguoculture. The theoretical basis was formed by the points of view existing in science regarding the interrelation and complementarity of such concepts as value, semantic field, and linguistic picture of the world from theoretical and psycholinguistic positions. In the course of the study, the meaningful signs of the semantic dominant of the field were established, among which there are a number of meanings that are not found in the dictionaries.

Keywords: semantic field, value, field reconstruction, journalistic discourse, language experience, transformation of the family.

<p style=”text-align: center;”><strong>С0MMUNICATIVE ADVERTISING STRATEGIES IN THE CONTEXT OF MODERN REALITIES: FROM MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING OF PEOPLE TO UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD</strong></p>
The article actualizes the relationship between advertising and the consumer, the advertiser and the target audience, goods and personal value system and their mutual influence against the background of a changing world. The dual nature of modern advertising is revealed, its simultaneous positioning of the benefits of the advertising subject and the optimization of the specific communicative intention of the target audience. The implementation of the strategic goal of advertising is investigated separately, as it usually uses an optimizing strategy. Among the positioning strategies, a number of subordinate strategies were identified, including value-oriented strategies that affect the social and psychological aspect of the advertising message, affect the mass consciousness and thus realize a regulatory function, stimulating the sale of goods. To fully understand the role of advertising in connection with the digitalization of information and include in its meanings the values of individual cultures in their opposition (in particular, Russian and European), the verbal and non-verbal possibilities of the influence of the media text of the advertising message were analyzed using the example of Russian-language slogans or advertising texts for FMCG companies, including telecommunications services, household cleaning products and food. Also, a method was proposed for analyzing advertising text using a two-stage strategy for analyzing the linguistic and extralinguistic factors of the text. The conclusion is made about the essence of advertising as a means of communication and a key to the emergence of a strong connection between the spiritual and the material.

<strong><em>Keywords</em>:</strong> communicative advertising strategies, advertising message, value-oriented strategies, value system, analysis of advertising messages.

A.V. Bulgakov

EXPRESS METHOD FOR ASSESSING PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES BASED ON INTERNET PROGRAMS FOR SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF TEXTS

The results of the development and use of an express method of semantic analysis for assessing the ideas about competencies among applicants for a master’s program are presented. The sample left 18 people. we used the internet platforms stio.com/ and p2pi.ru/ adapted for research purposes for text analysis. The theoretical basis was formed by the concepts of mediation, “linguistic personality”, semantic analysis. Revealed moderate correlations between the level of compliance with the standard and the absence of the semantic
load of the text r = – 0.491876; low content, boring, triviality of the text r = -0.32127; its harmony r = -0.31767. The carried out factor analysis after the varimax rotation determined the 3-factor model of “linguistic personality”: the general characteristic of the text is 53%; text optimization24%; compliance of competencies with the standard 23%. It was determined that such a correspondence is quite sufficient for assessing the future master. The rest of the factors are manifestations of a linguistic personality, indirectly giving an idea of ??the competencies of a teacher-psychologist. In subsequent studies, it is advisable to continue working to create express diagnostics for other education specialists.

PSYCHOTHERAPY: SPEAKING IN A COMMON LANGUAGE?

The article is devoted to the discussion of the issues of how the therapist’s speech changes the client’s mind, and the language of psychotherapy changes cultural codes of self-consciousness of entire generations. Any psychotherapeutic process is based on speech communication. In the process of communication with a psychotherapist, a client learns principles and rules of psychotherapy. Their acceptance leads to changes in a client’s mind and self- consciousness, increases his independence and ability to take responsibility for his own life and relationships with people. Questions of a psychotherapist set up for reflection and increase a degree of awareness. Each direction of psychotherapy works on the basis of its own conceptual apparatus, in the space of its own language. The client inevitably learns the language and the very structure of thinking of the psychotherapeutic direction to which he turned for help. Thanks to the wide spread of psychotherapeutic ideas, the language of psychotherapy have become a prominent and social phenomenon.

ART AND PROFESSIONAL CONSCIOUS IN THE IN THE INTERNET AGE

А.E. Тarasov

ART AND PROFESSIONAL CONSCIOUS IN THE IN THE INTERNET AGE

In the past and nowadays, recruiting and training new members of the professional community as well as the skill-building outside any professional activity is demonstration of mythologemes, which are de-objectified professional activities. The complex of mythologemes constitutes the professional consciousness, which, in addition to the de-objectified skills per se, includes ideas about the tasks and goals of activity in the context of the society. Professional consciousness in any profession includes at least three components: doctrine, theory and experience and skills.

The development of professional consciousness in the traditional (“guild”) procedure involves sequential demonstration consciousness images associated with doctrines, theory and de-objectified activity. However, the reverse order of learning is also possible, when first the neophyte gets acquainted with the artifacts, and then he/she is presented with the theory and the doctrine. This enables the substitution of the doctrine and theory underlying specific skills with new images that may change the activity in question. This is typical for marginal groups, for example, reenactors.

Keywords: professional consciousness, reenactors, hobbies, training.

LOGO OF HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION AS A CREOLIZED TEXT

I.V. Vashunina

LOGO OF HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION AS A CREOLIZED TEXT

The article presents the results of a study of logos of higher educational institutions. The main purpose of the article is to characterize the formation of the meaning of the creolized logo text. The material of the study was 108 logos of Moscow universities. The logo consists of two components: a verbal and a visual component. The verbal component is usually the name of the university, less often it contains additional information. The meaning of the logo is always based on the verbal component, which can be considered as a logical subject. The iconic component is a statement about this subject, that is, it is a logical predicate. Logos carry information about the order (often) or freedom, emancipation, can inform that this University is a Russian university by name, or by its function, subject to government ministries and departments, and not only to the Ministry of education, is a classical University, usually with a long history, this is the place where a full, complete, harmonious education is given, it is a major institution, where students require knowledge, gain wisdom, this is the place where you develop, grow, increase their  luggage of knowledge, it’s a place to learn, this is the place, where they learn something specific. Currently, when designing logos, there is a change in the cognitive paradigm (the presentation of information on the choice of the addressee) to the psycholinguistic one (the creation of images that affect the addressee).

Keywords: psycholinguistic paradigm, logos of higher educational institutions, creolized text, iconic component of the creolized text, form semantics, color semantics.

THE ROLE OF LINGUOCULTURAL COMPETENCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TEACHER’S PROFESSIONAL PERSONALITY

A.A. Lazurkin

THE ROLE OF LINGUOCULTURAL COMPETENCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TEACHER’S PROFESSIONAL PERSONALITY

The article deals with the role of linguocultural competence in the formation of the professional personality of a future teacher. It is shown here that the formation of linguocultural competence can be considered as a global goal of language teaching; this competence includes not only the language knowledge, i.e. its structure and semantics, features of functioning, as well as rhetorical aspects, but also constantly focuses on the cultural component, which contributes to the formation of the professional personality of the future teacher.

The dictionary itself is based on the concept of teacher-dictionary-student interaction. The Russian word is presented in it as a multi-aspect phenomenon, therefore, various reference material, socio-cultural, linguistic and literary comments, links to language rules, etc. are placed in the dictionary entry. Its socio-cultural orientation is expressed in the fact that many Belarusian realities are set into the dictionary, which has led to an increase in the interest of students in the Russian language, because they are more willing to work with material that is native to them. The article presents the ways of formation of linguocultural competence – through the use of our compiled complex dictionary of the Russian language and a system of didactic tasks, each of them contains cultural texts such as fiction, journalistic, popular scientific texts, etc.

As a result, the future teacher acquires basic knowledge that reflects the language in interaction with culture, forms the skills to use and apply them; this is how the future teacher develops his/ her abilities to improve professional pedagogical competence, language culture, and, therefore, general culture as a whole.

Keywords: competence, linguocultural competence, personality, complex dictionary, professionalism.

CHALLENGES IN THE TRANSLATION OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS FOR REFUGEES AND ASYLUM-SEEKERS FROM SPANISH INTO ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN

M. Relinque-Barranca, F. J. Vigier-Moreno

CHALLENGES IN THE TRANSLATION OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS FOR REFUGEES AND ASYLUM-SEEKERS FROM SPANISH INTO ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN

(translated from original by M.O. Matveev)

As noted by most prominent Translation Studies scholars (S. Šarčević; E. Alcaraz Varó and B. Hughes; D. Cao; to name but a few), intersystemic legal translation is characterised by the asymmetry of the legal systems concerned and its subsequent conceptual and terminological incongruity. These difficulties become even bigger when working with languages, cultures and legal systems with different historical background and development, such as Spanish, English and Russian.

In this paper we will focus on the challenges identified in the translation of a set of legal texts used at the Refugee Reception Centre of Seville (Spain) in a project dedicated to translating and revising documentation used at this governmental institution. More specifically, we will focus on the problematic terminological and phraseological units encountered in those texts and the solutions offered, taking into account the specific recipients of these texts (i.e., refugees and asylum-seekers), the specific purpose of such translated texts and the implications of frequently using English and Russian as lingua francas in these settings.

Keywords: translation; legal documents; refugees; Spanish; English; Russian.

SCHOLARLY DISCOURSE IN THE DIGITAL AGE – SOME DIRECTIONS OF DEVELOPMENT

(translated from original by O.A. Radchenko)

This paper discusses some directions of development that seem to be extrapolatable on the basis of what we know to date about how the digital revolution affects academia and its communication system. Drawing on that interdisciplinary state of research five aspects are outlined that determine scholarly discourse taking place in the World Wide Web: a) media infrastructures and platforms, b) ethno-theories within the field of scholarly discourse online, c) aspects of quality control and information overload, d) newly evolving digital genres and e) the question if there will arise a new order of academic knowledge. Subsequently some hypotheses on problems that might appear in the near future are discussed too.

Keywords: academia, scholarly communication, WWW, social media, meta-academics, media linguistics

WORLD VALUES SURVEY DATA, NATIONAL IQ AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF COUNTRIES

WORLD VALUES SURVEY DATA, NATIONAL IQ AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF COUNTRIES

The article presents the results of evaluating the informativity of the World Values Survey data relative to the real values of citizens of the countries surveyed, taking into account their level of intelligence (national IQ). The data of the World Values Survey were analyzed at the level of two “key dimensions”: “traditional values – secular-rational values” and “survival values – self-expression values”, the analysis included data from the five waves of this survey, from the first to the fifth. National IQs were obtained by combining data from psychometric measurements in countries of the world with the results of international studies of educational attainments. Indicators of real values were socio-economic indicators (gross domestic product per capita, publication activity index, life expectancy, infant mortality, tuberculosis incidence and general indicator of socio-economic achievements), reflecting the social behavior of citizens of a country. Using a regression analysis, it was determined whether the “key measurements” do make an independent of the national IQ contribution to the prediction of socio-economic indicators. The results showed that while traditional – secular-rational values do not make an independent contribution to the prediction of any of the socio-economic indicators included in the analysis, survival values – self-expression make such a contribution to the prediction of gross domestic product per capita , publication activity index, life expectancy and general indicator of socio-economic achievements.

Keywords: values, national IQ, WVS, socio-economic indicators.

STRATEGIES FOR REALIZING THE PRAGMATIC POTENTIAL OF PR-TEXTS IN ENGLISH OF INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES

STRATEGIES FOR REALIZING THE PRAGMATIC POTENTIAL OF PR-TEXTS IN ENGLISH OF INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES

The article is devoted to the ways for realizing the pragmatic potential of PR-texts in English of international companies. The relevance of the stated issue is explained by the fact that strategies of filling the expression of the pragmatic potential remain poorly studied and require deeper research, as in the conditions of the modern economy, when the supply significantly exceeds the demand, and the level of competition between organizations is extremely high, it is the text with the well-composed pragmatic potential, that helps companies to stand out, attract new customers and outsell their competitors in the market. The ability of PR-texts to exert a psychological impact on a recipient is understood as the pragmatics of the PR-text in English. It was revealed that there are four main strategies for the implementation of the pragmatic characteristics of the PR-text in English (strategy of logical persuasion, evaluation, appeal to the senses, optimization of language means), each of which has a number of sub-strategies. All examples taken from relevant PR-texts in English of international companies demonstrate the filling of texts with the strongest pragmatics thanks to the diversity of stylistic devices. It was also found out that in a situation when a non-verbal part is added to the verbal part, the pragmatic potential of the text becomes stronger. Such semiotically rich texts are especially popular among international companies because they avoid the language barrier.

Keywords: PR-text, strategy, sub-strategy, pragmatic potential, international company, influential effect.

FUNCTIONAL-SEMANTIC REPRESENTATION

A. Romanov, L Romanova

FUNCTIONAL-SEMANTIC REPRESENTATION
AS THE REGULATIVE CONSTRUCTION
OF MENTAL REPRESENTATION
OF TUNNEL LOCALIZATION OF LANGUAGE SIGN

The article deals with the “regulative mechanism” of dissemination and implementation of information-dominant (“viral”) communicative constructive practices in the media space. A series of models of expanded and narrowed informative influence direction of the “fan shift” of discourse (“window”) focusing as the complex technology of communicative-discoursive manipulation are proposed. The authors conclude that the leading role of the communicative and informative components in the structure of society is determined by it’s reliance on the relational properties and the regulatory nature of messages.

Key words: discourse-construct, communicative construct, scenary sign-construct, model of regulative space of discoursive practices, “window” of discourse, regulative interaction, tunnel sign-construct, tunnel discoursive reality, functional-semantic representation.
