THE PROBLEM OF PSYCHOLOGICAL ADAPTATION OF MODERN TEENAGERS DURING THE TRANSITION FROM SECONDARY SCHOOL TO PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE
The study was done on a sample of 588 1st-year students of pedagogical colleges. The indicators of adaptation of these students to new learning conditions are given. It is assumed, that students’ problems will concern both cognitive functions and personality neoplasms. The data obtained confirmed the assumption. It is concluded that a special developmental and correctional program is needed. It should include both classroom work and extracurricular activities.
