STUDY OF CREOLIZED TEXTS IN THE MOSCOW PSYCHOLINGUISTIC SCHOOL

Abstract. The article presents an overview of research on creolized texts conducted by scholars of the Moscow Psycholinguistic School over a 40-year period. The studies focus on the semantic perception of creolized texts. Early research demonstrated that recipients perceive verbal text and illustrations placed in the same visual field as interconnected, forming a creolized text. A key distinguishing feature of creolized texts is their emergent quality, which prevents their perception from being a simple sum of text and image components. All studies have been conducted experimentally, revealing that each element of a creolized text is perceived in correlation with other components. Over the years, various dissertations and projects funded by RFBR grants have explored different aspects of this issue. The findings suggest that it is possible to predict, with a certain degree of probability, the impact of creolized texts with specific parameters. Experimental results allow the identification of parameters influencing the semantic perception of creolized texts, the measurement of their impact potential, and the analysis of their interrelationships.
