EVOLUTION OF REPERTORY GRID TECHNIQUE APPLICATIONS IN EDUCATION
Abstract. The article explores the development and variety of repertory grid uses within educational contexts. The study aims to update understanding of this method’s application and to assess its potential for investigating phenomena related to generative artificial intelligence. The first phase involved a bibliometric analysis of over 2,700 publications retrieved from the ACM DL, Lens, and OpenAlex databases. Using the Bibliometrix package and VOSviewer visualizations, key themes and leading research groups employing repertory grids in education were identified. The second phase comprised two experiments extracting students’ personal constructs when comparing generative AI systems. The RepGrid and WebGrid methodologies were applied, yielding construct grids that serve as starting points for further collaborative activities. The findings illustrate the technique’s evolution, reveal its contemporary capabilities, and provide a basis for future applied research in educational technology and organizational psycholinguistics
