CATEGORIZATION OF THE EGOCENTRIC SPACE OF THE LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY IN POLITICAL DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the role of categorization of the egocentric space of a linguistic personality in political discourse based on a multi-paradigm approach to cognitive linguistics. The article describes the anthropocentric approach of research within the framework of cognitive linguistics. The author of the article identifies three groups of egocentric space. The paper analyzes the coordinates of categorization of the egocentric space of a linguistic personality in the process of structuring real reality based on the egocentric principle. On the example of speeches by former British Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May the features of the speech behavior of a linguistic personality as part of the discursive space of politics are described. The work is based on such research methods as linguostatistical method, contextual analysis, linguistic modeling method, discursive method, conceptual-taxonymic analysis, correlation analysis, as well as conceptual method.
