POLYMODAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE PRECEDENT SITUATION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN HUMOROUS DISCOURSE (USING THE EXAMPLE OF STAND-UP COMEDY)
Abstract. The popularity of stand-up comedy actualizes the problem of determining its psychological potential, the peculiarities of its impact on mass consciousness. The results of a study of the mechanisms of transformation of the precedent situation of domestic violence in the speech of M. Akhmedova are presented. Based on the psychological analysis of the stand-up text, the hypothesis is formulated that the change in the traditional negative semantics of the situation of violence, the formation of a tolerant attitude among viewers, is associated with the inconsistency of messages broadcast in different modalities: auditory (verbal and paraverbal) and visual (kinetic and habitaric). The study involved 115 students (M = 19.8 years old). Using the semantic differential method, they evaluated three consecutive stimuli: visual (video recordings of a speech without sound); auditory (spoken text of a speech without an image) and creolized. Analysis of the data obtained using mathematical statistics methods showed significant differences in the semantics of the three stimuli, and also allowed us to formulate a conclusion about the verification of the hypothesis being tested.
